Yes, in response to popular demand, we offer FREE delivery service in certain areas.
If you feel you live local to us and you should have free delivery contact our office.
Local deliveries can usually be arranged within a few day or so if items are in stock.
All information and contact telephone numbers will passed to the driver to enable your delivery to go smoothly on the day.
In extreme circumstances where our vans are not available courier service will be provided. All large item delivered on pallets will be left as closed as possible in where you would like item left. Please refer to our free delivery calculator for delivery cost.
In the rare event that an item arrives faulty or damaged please contact us and we will arrange a replacement as soon as poss.
All item(s) deliveryd in are free delivery area will be collected free of change.
Refunds will be issued less your delivery cost, to the card which was used to place the order once we have received the item(S) back in our warehouse.
The cost of returning goods is your responsibility and the item(S) are your responsibility until they arrive at the warehouse. We therefore recommend using a recorded delivery service for returns.

Refunds can take up to 14 days after item has arrived at are warehouse.
mattresses cannot be returned if they have been removed from original packing.
Special orders are not eligible for refunds.
While we try and ensure that all prices on our website and showroom are accurate, errors may occur. If we discover an error in the price of good you have ordered we will inform you as soon as possible and give you the option of reconfirming your order at the correct price or cancelling it. If you cancel and have already paid for the goods, you will receive a full refund. SALE PRICE ARE SUPPLY ONLY
Costs Incurred by You
We are not liable for any costs incurred by you or any loss of earnings. If we change your installation date. For example if a delivery is delayed in any way and you have to rebook an installer then we are not liable for any extra charges that the installer may charge you. We always recommend that you do not book an installer until you are in receipt of the goods. We are also not liable for any loss of earnings as a result of you taking time off work to accept a delivery even if it is late or delayed.
At present we cannot accept overseas orders online. We are happy to accept orders by phone providing you arrange for your own courier/shipping. Please contact Customer Services.
On signing for your item(s) at the point of collection you/your courier is confirming that the item(s) have been delivered by us satisfactorily. Please note that FURNITURE & FIREPLACES guarantee is not valid for items taken outside the UK Mainland.
Cancellations and Amendments
Every effort is made to ensure that the products we supply correspond as closely as possible to the samples displayed in our stores, shown in our catalogue or online, but due to the handmade nature of many of our products there might be slight variations. No responsibility can be accepted for these variations. These could include, but are not limited to, slight differences in shades of fabric or dimensions of products.
Please bear in mind that computer browsers may present colours slightly differently.
Full payment must be made before any product is dispatched from our warehouse.
All payments taken by phone or online are taken in a secure environment.

Furniture & Fireplaces Ltd offer an extra 10 year guarantee on all products over the manufacturers guarantee (excl gas fires and electric fires) product ownership can’t be transferred. All products must be maintained in accordance with the manufacturers instructions.
The materials we use for mantels, slips and hearths are solid natural limestone, sandstone, granite, slate or marble. The naturally occurring features in these materials are one of the beauties of the use of such materials and no two pieces are identical. In purchasing the Goods you acknowledge that the natural materials used by us may vary from sample to sample and product to product. Typical variations may include, but are not limited to, fossils, veins, shading, vents and texture. Most stone and marble is inherently unsound and may require filling where appropriate. Although beautiful, the veining or venting is in fact a weakness and may be stopped and filled. Such naturally occurring variations are not defects in the materials and we shall not be liable to you in respect of any such variation. Where filling is necessary we shall undertake such filling carefully and professionally.Quarrying and cutting involves large quantities of water which is absorbed by stone. This will result in variations in colour while drying. Shade variations may be evident after fitting as water is used during installation. In time stone will dry to a reasonably uniform appearance. Drying out times depend on the stone thickness, room ambience and installation procedure. Variations in colour due to water absorption shall not be deemed a defect of the Goods.
It shall be accepted by the buyer that some variation in shade or pattern occurs in stone products and that it is the buyer’s responsibility to ensure that the material supplied is of an acceptable colour, shade, size, texture and type before fixing as no claims can be accepted by the seller thereafter. This is particularly applicable when the material is collected, delivered or fitted by a third party.
No claim shall be accepted by the seller after the goods have been fitted, fixed or installed and it shall be the buyer’s responsibility to ensure that the goods are acceptable in every way prior to the fitting, fixing or installation.
Fuel bed ceramics
Fuel bed ceramics used in gas fires may crack in use due to natural shrinkage and this is normal. Carbon deposits are a normal by-product of the combustion process and pebble ceramics may be affected.
Title and Risk
All items are guaranteed for five years, on condition that each item is cared for in accordance with the advice of FURNITURE & FIREPLACES
Where appropriate, FURNITURE & FIREPLACES will repair the item free of charge during this period, or will replace subject to terms & conditions as stated below.
Your item(s) are guaranteed for normal domestic use, and not for commercial use (unless requested upon order).
Wood has certain natural characteristics such as swelling, shrinkage, hairline cracks, minor movement due to changes in temperature and humidity. This will not affect the durability, serviceability or lifespan of your item(s). These natural movements are not a structural defect and are not covered under this guarantee.
Naturally, fair wear and tear in normal domestic use is excluded.
Damage resulting from negligence, abuse or accidents is excluded.
Mattresses have a 1 year guarantee, Fabric on all sofa and chairs have a 1 year guarantee.
Gas fires have a 1 year guarantee, Electric fires have a 1 year guarantee.
Guarantees are valid from the date of delivery or collection.
When you purchase from furniture & fireplaces, please keep your sales order acknowledgement paperwork safe. This will contain your order number, which must be quoted in order for your guarantee to be valid. (without this paperwork your guarantee is invalid)
We have the right to revise and amend these terms and conditions from time to time.
You will be subject to the policies and terms and conditions in force at the time that you order products from us, unless any change to those policies or these terms and conditions is required to be made by law or governmental authority (in which case it will apply to orders previously placed by you), or if we notify you of the change to those policies or these terms and conditions before we send you the confirmation email (in which case we have the right to assume that you have accepted the change to the terms and conditions, unless you notify us to the contrary within seven working days of receipt by you of the item(s).
To comply with the Data Protection Act 1998 we are required to inform you that we have recorded your name and address on our computer system for the sole purpose of processing your order.
